MY STORY
I have been fascinated by photography from a very young age. At the age of 7 I became the proud owner of my first camera. From that moment on, my friends and family frequently became my subject. As time went by my equipment became more sophisticated and the bathroom was changed into a darkroom.
After high school in the Netherlands, I attended university and gained a Masters in Business. I have enjoyed a fulfilling career in management, travelled to and lived in many exciting places and met many diverse and interesting people. Throughout this time, my passion for photography has remained.
When I returned to London in 2009, I made a career change to full-time photographer. Ever since I have worked on a range of assignments from portraiture, travel, commercial to architectural. In 2010, I won my first international award and in 2011 I became a licensed Berufsfotograf in Austria. In the meantime my photo's have been published in travel-guides, magazines and newspapers and I had the honour to receive multiple international awards. My specialisation is portraiture, because I love working with people, capture their nature and spontaneity. My work always takes place on location, as I am a strong believer that the right environment makes people more at ease and adds to their personality.
